KOREA NATIONAL SOMMELIER CONTEST: PARTNERSHIP WITH ROUSSILLON WINES
The 2018 edition of the Korean Sommelier Competition was once again organized in partnership with Roussillon wines.
This year Seoul saw three competitors from two different competitions win a trip to the Roussillon vineyards. The two competitions – the National Sommelier Competition of Korea and the Special Roussillon Prize Winner – were organized at the prestigious Daejeon Lotte City Hotel on the 31st of August and 1st of September.
Hyuncheol CHO – L’Escape Hotel – and Hyojin JUNG – Lotte Hotel – won first and second place respectively in the national competition. Minjae KIM – Intercontinental Hotel – was awarded the Special Roussillon Prize. These three winners will deepen their knowledge and expertise by having the unique opportunity to visit the Roussillon vineyards. As well as receiving an all expense-paid trip to Roussillon the three lucky winners obtained very old vintages from 1949 of Rivesaltes and a Tie Kit of Roussillon Wines Council.
These finals are an outcome of Roussillon wines’ unwavering and longstanding support for the Best Korean Sommelier Competition.
Eric Aracil, Deputy Director of Roussillon Wines Council, traveled to Korea to be the judge of these 2 prestigious finals.

2018년 한국 소믈리에 대회가 루시옹 와인과의 파트너쉽과 함께 개최되었다.
루시옹은 올해 한국 소믈리에 대회에서 두 개 부분 수상자들을 대상으로 루시옹 와이너리 투어를 기획하였다. 두 개 부분, 한국 소믈리에 대회와 루시옹 스페셜 프라이즈 수상자들의 시상식이 8월 31일 대전 컨벤션 센터에서 개최되었다.
조현철_레스케이프 호텔, 정효진_롯데 호텔 (각각 한국 소믈리에 대회 1,2 등) 김민재_인터컨티넨탈 호텔 (루시옹 스페셜 프라이즈 우승)
위 세 명의 수상자는 루시옹에 대해 좀 더 자세히 알아볼 수 있는 와이너리 투어 기회를 제공받는다.
위 두 가지 부문 수상(한국소믈리에대회, 루시옹 스페셜 프라이즈)은 루시옹 와인의 한국 소믈리에 대회에 대한 변함 없는 서포트를 보여준다.
세 명의 수상자: 맨 왼쪽 조현철 소믈리에, 가운데 정효진 소믈리에, 그리고 맨 오른쪽 김민재 소믈리에와 에릭 아라실(루시옹 와인협회 수출총괄)이 있다. 에릭 아라실은 두 가지 부문에서 심사위원을 맡았다.
